We all know the guy names Elvis Presley, also known as the king of rock&roll.
He was famous for his music and quirky dance moves.
But his dance moves were not the only special thing that Elvis possessed. He also had an incredible collection of watches.
When I saw the movie, Elvis, in June 2022, I noticed some of his watches being sold at different auctions. Immediately I was curious to find out more.
Read on to find out more about Elvis Presley and his watches.
Watch From Elvis His First TV Show
The first watch that Elvis had been spotted on TV with is this 14-karat gold-filled Lord Elgin watch.
In 1956 Elvis made his first TV appearance and wore this timepiece.
In the movie Elvis, a replica of this piece is featured as well.
The original watch sold for $293.000 at the auction in Devizes, Wiltshire.
Elvis Presley Gold And Diamond Watch
This impressive wristwatch was once owned by Elvis Presley before he gifted it to his close friend and backup singer J.D. Sumner.
The Swiss-made timepiece is made out of 14K yellow gold and features a handsome dial surrounded by 26 round diamonds inserted on the bezel.
The gold band has a personal engraving on it, which reads “From Elvis to J.D. Sumner, 1974.”
This watch sold at M.S. Rau Antiques for $498.000!
I love to see that Elvis had good taste and picked an Omega to be one of his watches.
This 1960 Omega which was retailed by Tiffany & Co is a tremendous piece.
The watch is made out of 18K white gold and is surrounded by diamonds on the bezel.
The watch was gifted to Elvis by RCA in February 1961 for reaching 75 million sold records.
This is also engraved on the back of the watch, the engraving reads “To Elvis 75 Million Records RCA Victor 12-25-60.”
The numbers stand for the date Elvis hit the 75 million sold records mark.
The watch sold at Phillips Auction for $1.894.905!
